Richard-Allan Scientific Modified Mayerís Hematoxylin is a progressive nuclear stain. This stain requires no acid rinse and does not stain mucin. It is recommended for use when less intense results are desired. It is difficult to overstain sections with this product yet very crisp nuclear staining is achieved. Richard-Allan Scientific Modified Mayer’s Hematoxylin is a good choice as a counterstain in immunoperoxidase and special stain procedures.
